North Shore Shark Encounters
North Shore Shark Adventures offers the once of a lifetime opportunity for guests to experience sharks up close and personal with their Waikiki glass cage shark dive! Glass cage shark dives in Waikiki are the safest and most spectacular way to experience sharks completely up close and personal, in the shark's own natural environment.
This Waikiki shark encounter takes guests 3 miles out from Oahu's North Shore deep into international waters, before anchoring at a world famous shark ground. Upon arrival at the shark grounds, guests can participate in the adventure of their life as they descend underwater in a Poly Glass protected steel shark cage. The Poly Glass cage windows provide complete protection while allowing participants crystal clear views of the sharks. Watch in amazement as the sharks emerge from the depths up to the cage, providing you an unforgettable encounter with Hawaiian sharks! The most plentiful sharks seen on this Waikiki shark encounter are 10 foot long Galapagos Sharks. Watch in amazement as these sharks actually press their noses up against the Poly Glass, literally just an inch or two away from you! Other common visitors encountered on this Waikiki shark dive include beautiful Sandbar Sharks and Gray Reef Sharks. These species of sharks have a naturally curious disposition, and readily approach the shark cages with no fear! Guests occasionally experience visits from mysterious Hammerhead and Tiger Sharks as well.
In addition, your boat ride out features the opportunity to see dolphins and Hawaii Green Sea Turtles. Between November and May you may even see a magnificent Humpback Whale. This popular Waikiki glass cage shark dive has been featured on BBC Outdoors, ESPN Outdoors, Wheel of Fortune, The Travel Channel, and Canadian Wildlife TV.
